Often called Golden Hills this material is not from that claim. This is mined by a father and son team is from a mine called Gilandi. It still is from Kazakhstan, as it is all lumped together. The lavender hue comes from the mineral strontium, and is the only claim in the world that has these unique traits. The rough often is oddly formed, so getting perfectly cut shapes is rare. This is part of the best series, though a step down from the top grade.. Still a solid investment in this material.
