Morrisonite Jasper from Owyhee Region in Eastern Oregon is said to be one of the hardest jaspers, almost as hard as some agates and is often referred to as "The King of Jaspers" No new material is coming out of the ground and to obtain any you must procure it from old collections. Almost ethereal patterns in a rich array of colors. All of these feature pristine polished backs. There’s a tremendous amount of waste in cutting these. The nodules are very irregular formed as this material was literally chiseled from from the cliff walls just above Jim Morrison’s Ranch.
