From the Ochoco Mountains in Oregon. Not much is known about who discovered this teal gem and named it. The only material that surfaces these days are from old timers with old collections. Glaciers moved it down the mountains so the originating source has yet to be found. If you happen upon it’s trail, you might be lucky to pry the rock from the rubble. Shaping and polishing also has it’s challenges. The journey was not kind to these stones and many possess internal fractures that break mid process.. Those that survive take an amazing polish!
