From the southern end or Oregon, close to the Nevada border this jasper was discovered in 1967 by Leonard Kapcinsky, “Kop”. Nestled in the McDermitt caldera, it was the incredibly hot fluids pushed up by the volcanic magma that deposited all the incredible minerals that colored and patterned this picture jasper!
